Abstract

Thematic learning plan based on themes to connect some subjects capable of providing a very useful experience for students. However, the implementation is not yet optimal and there are some obstacles, such as the lack of uses of educational media and the development of educational media innovation in accordance with the Curriculum 2013 is still weak. Limitations and lack of variety of media used causes the material presented becomes abstract and imaginative. This study aims to determine the effectiveness and impact of using educard on learning outcomes in thematic learning in MI MuhammadiyahKaranganyar. This research is included in the type of quantitative experimental research using True Experimental Design that is the kind of method by inviting other groups not subjected to problems that occur as comparison (a control group). Observation on learning outcomes will be carried out at the end of the lesson. In the experimental class using educard of fractions and food nutrients subjects as well as problems exercises with interactive media, while the control class is done conventionally (presenting pictures via LED TV and written problems exercises). The results show that the use of educard is effective and improve learning outcomes in the experimental class. The mean of learning outcomes marks for the experimental class was 81.37 and 70, 03 for the control class. Students get the learning outcomes marks beyond 75 (KKM) and completeness of learning achievement reaches 75% in classical. Starting from this research, teachers are expected to use interesting media such as educards and interactive medias in learning so the thematic learning results will be even better.
