Abstract

Electronic wasteis a waste that comes from household products that use electricity and have reached the end of life because it has been damaged, old and may not be used anymore. In any electronic waste contain precious materials and metals, it also contains hazards and toxins that can cause environmental damage if electronic waste is not managed properly. Risks can be minimized with the concept of sustainable manufacturing by way of reuse, repair and remanufacture. One of the obstacles in carrying out the advanced handling of an electronic waste is the difficulty in separating parts or components of the product, so it is necessary to evaluate the ease of disassembly of the product and calculate the design effectiveness of a product using Maynard Operation Sequence Technique (MOST) method and disassembly evaluation chart. The investigation shows that the design effectiveness of the Shimizu PS-126 Bit water pump is 30,54% and it is estimated that it takes 4 minutes to disassemble. Then after the improvement there was an increase of design effectiveness 22.7% to 53,24% and the disassembly time estimation to 2.28 minutes, it shows the time saving for 1,72 minutes.
