Abstract

The objectives of the study are three. (1) Describe the form of speech acts of irony as a social-political critique in the event of Mata Najwa in Trans 7. (2) Describe the intention of the act of speech irony as a social-political critique in the event of Mata Najwa in Trans 7. (3) Describe strategy pengironian as social-political criticism in the event Mata Najwa in Trans 7. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods. Subjects in this study are identifying and analyzing the form, meaning, and strategy of acting of irony as a socio-political critique in Eyes of Najwa. The data in this study is a speech that contains irony at the Najwa Eye event in Trans 7. The source of data in this study is the speeches in the event Mata Najwa. Technique done in this research is technique note. Data collection is done by listening to the speech at the Najwa Eye event in Trans 7. This method is followed by recording techniques. Data analysis techniques to be used by researchers using the method of matching. The result of this research are (1) Being an act of irony as a sociall political critic there are three kinds. Satire. Sarcasm. Cynicism. (2) The meaning of the act of irony as a socio-political critique in the Najwa's eye is seven kinds. Demands. Expressesopinion. Declares. Requests. Predicts. Rules. Brags. (3) The strategy of acts of irony as a socio-political critique in the Najwa's eye is of two kinds. Direct speech acting strategy.Indirect action strategy
