Abstract

Background: Chronic bronchitis is a condition in which excessive sputum secretion occurs in the bronchial branch with cough sputum at least 3 consecutive months within 2 years, leading to disorders such as shortness of breath, sputum, spasm, decreased thoracic expansion cage, and decreased functional activity. Purpose: To determine the implementation of physiotherapy in reducing shortness of breath, sputum, spasm, increase thorac cage expansion, and increase functional activity with Nebulizer modality, Stretching, Postural Drainage, Effective cough, Diafragmatic Breathing, and Pursed Lip Breathing Results: After 4 weeks of treatment, the results of the assessment of shortness of breath T0: 6 became T4: 4, sputum from T0 to T4 at the same location T0: Ronchi and T6: Ronchi, decreased spasm and tenderness T0: 6 to T4: 4. Conclusion: Nebulizer, Stretching, Postural Drainage, Effective cough, Diafragmatic Breathing and Pursed Lip Breathing can overcome the existing disorders in cases of chronic bronchitis.
