Abstract

The aims of the research are 1) to understand the influence of asem democratic patterns to the student’s character for X grade students of SMKN 1 Banyudono in academic year of 2017/2018. 2) to understand the influence of peer group to the student’s character for X grade students of SMKN 1 Banyudono in academic year of 2017/2018. 3) to understand the influence of both asem democratic patterns and peer group to the student’s character for X grade students of SMKN 1 Banyudono in academic year of 2017/2018. The type of this research is qualitative research that uses the statistic method to drawing the conclusion. The populations of this research were taken from X grade students of SMKN 1 BANYUDONO in academic year of 2017/2018. The samples of this research were taken as many as 167 students by using proporsional random sampling. The required data was obtained through questionnaire and documentation. The previous questionnaire has tested by validity tested and reability tested. The technique of the data analyze which is used in this research are multiple linear regression analysis, t test, f test, and relative and effective contribution. The result of the regression analysis has obtained the equation of regression line: Y = 18,078 + 0,190 X1 + 0,537 X2. The equation shows that student’s character is influenced by asem democratic patterns and peer group. The conclusions of this research are as follows: 1) asem democratic patterns to the student’s character for X grade students of SMKN 1 Banyudono in academic year of 2017/2018 is acceptable. This is based on multiple linear regression analysis (t test) that t arithmetic> t table,which is known 2,424 >1,960 and significant value < 0,05, which is known 0,016 with a relative contribution of 13% and an effective contribution of 4.8%.2) the peer group to the student’s character for X grade students of SMKN 1 Banyudono in academic year of 2017/2018 is acceptable. This is base on multiple linear regression analysis (t test) that t arithmetic> t table,which is known 8,428 > 1,960 and significant value < 0,05, which is known 0,000 with a relative contribution of 87% and an effective contribution of 31.8%.3) asem democratic patterns and the peer group to the student’s character for X grade students of SMKN 1 Banyudono in academic year of 2017/2018 is acceptable. This is based on multiple linear regression analysis (F test) that Farithmetic> Ftable, which is known 47,094 >3,000 dan significant value < 0,05, yaitu 0,000.4) coefficient of determination (R2) equal to 0,366 that indicates the big influence of asem democratic patterns and the peer group to the student’s character for X grade students of SMKN 1 Banyudono in academic year of 2017/2018 is equal to 36,6%, while the other rest is influenced by other variable.
