Abstract

As the time progressed, the development of welding technology is going forward, one of them is spot welding. The purpose of this research to understand the zinc filler’s weight effect in dissimilar material welding between aluminium and stainless steel with a weight of 0,07 grand 0,08 gr. The welding process carried out by using 6000 A, 7000 A,8000 A current with 0,2 s, 0,3 s, 0,4 s welding time. The result of macro photo test reveals that current and welding time affect the width of nugget diameter. The widht’s diameter obtained by using 8000 A current, 0,4 s welding time on 0,07 gr filler is 3,55 mm, and using 0,08 gr filler with the same welding time is 4,18 mm. The result of mikro photo test of aluminium HAZ reveals thet the higher current and welding time are, the smaller the grain can be, also the stainless steel HAZ change from small ti large. The are physical on aluminium nugget that looss melted rather than is it Srinc.
