Abstract

Confidence is required by the child, therefore learning must be fun and interesting. One way that allows the emergence of child’s confidence is to tell stories. This study aims to determine the effect of the method of telling the child’s confidence. This research is a quantitative research. Subjects in this study were students of the group A in TK Pertiwi 1 Manjung 2017/2018 Academic Year. While the number of students TK Pertiwi 1 Manjung group A group of 15 children. File collected through observation. The author use quasi experimental research design. Result of data analysis using paired sample t test obtained thitung equal to -17,063. Statistically can be seen on thitung value -17,063 ≤ ttabel -2,145 then H0 is rejected which means there is influence of storytelling method to the confidence of child group A in TK Pertiwi 1 Manjung. The conclusion of the rexearch is that the storytelling method can have an effect to improve the child’s confidence.
