Abstract

Background: Asthma is a heterogeneous disease characterized by inflammation occurring with traits similar to those of respiratory history such as wheezing, shortness of breath, chest contents, and a cough that causes the disorder. Purpose: To know the benefits of breathing control and diaphragmatic breathing in reducing shortness of breath in people with asthma as well as to Know the benefits of static bicycle in improving functional ability in asthmatics. Result: After 6 weeks of therapy, there was a decrease in the degree of shortness of breath, where the assessment of shortness of breath on T5 and T6 which previously had a value of 3 to the value 1, while the evaluation using Six-Minutes Walking Test increased, where in the first meeting get 26 , 4 which belong to the POOR category and at the last meeting get the value of 27.2 which belongs to FAIR category. Conclusion: breathing control and diaphragmatic breathing can reduce the degree of shortness of breath and static bicycle can improve functional ability.
