Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effects of exchange rates, foreign loans, foreign investment, exports and economic conditions before and after the Indonesian economic crisis on Indonesia's foreign exchange reserves. By analyzing exchange rate factors, foreign loans, foreign investment, exports, and economic conditions before and after the economic crisis of Indonesia is expected to know how much influence on Indonesia's foreign exchange reserves. The type of data used in this study is secondary data in the form of time series from 1990-2015. Data obtained from the website of World Bank, Indonesian Central Bureau of Statistics, Investment Coordinating Board and Bank Indonesia. Analyzer used is multiple regression analysis with Ordinary Least Square (OLS) method. The results of this study that exchange rate variables, foreign loans, and exports have a significant influence on Indonesia's foreign exchange reserves. While the variables of foreign investment as well as the economic condition before and after the economic crisis of Indonesia have no significant effect on foreign exchange reserves in Indonesia.
