Abstract

This research entitled "Humanist and Religious Human Rights Education Program Policy at SMP Muhammadiyah 5 Surakarta", The purpose of this research are: (1) To describe the advantages of humanist and religious based character education policy in SMP Muhammadiyah 5 Surakarta which has been run in accordance with existing procedures , in the form of written policy in the form of school rules and the unwritten form of mutual agreement. (2) to describe the limitations of humanist and religious-based character education policy in SMP Muhammadiyah 5 Surakarta include supervisory factors, subject load, facilities and infrastructure, learning time and human resources. (3) To describe the solution to the limitation of humanist and religious based human character policy in SMP Muhammadiyah 5 Surakarta in the form of guidance counseling (BK), Habituation, supervision, and reward and punishment. (4) To describe the impact of humanist and religious-based character education policy in SMP Muhammadiyah 5 Surakarta in both positive and negative ways. The positive impact of religious humanist education on human discipline is better in its development, while the negative impact of the use of religious humanist methods is not widely practicable because of the different cultures and religions in the world. This research is a qualitative research with ethnography design. Data collection techniques used interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques use interactive analysis.
