Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze: (1) the influence of Teams Assisted Individualization (TAI) and Time Token learning methods on mathematics learning outcomes, (2) the influence of mathematical communication ability on mathematics learning outcomes, (3) the interaction effect between learning method and ability mathematical communication to mathematics learning outcomes. This research is a quantitative research with quasi experimental design (quasi experimental design). The population of this study is all students of class VIII odd semester of junior high school Al-Abidin academic year 2017/2018. The sample of this research is the students of class F (Aisha) and class G (Hafshah). The sampling technique used cluster random sampling, that is the experimental class was given by using Teams Assisted Individualization (TAI) method while the control class was treated by using Time Token learning method. Technique of collecting data by using written test and documentation, while technique of data analysis using variance of two way with unequal cell. The result of research, firstly there is a significant influence of the use of Teams Assited Individualization (TAI) and Time Token learning methods to mathematics learning outcomes. Secondly, there is a significant influence of mathematical communication ability on mathematics learning outcomes. Third, there is no interaction effect between the learning method and the mathematical communication ability to the mathematics learning outcomes.
