Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the model of relationship internal locus of control and social support with altruistic behavior mediated by subjective wellbeing. This research use quantitative method with the number of subject as many as 240 people in non-formal early chidlhood education teachers on 5 sub districts at Sukoharjo district namely Kartasura sub district, Grogol sub distric, Baki sub distirct, Weru sub district and Bulu sub district. Data collection methods use internal locus of control scale, social support scale, subjective well-being scale, and altruist behavior scale. The sampling using proportional random sampling. Data were analyzed using structural equation model. The results show that there is a relationship between internal locus of control and social support with altruist behavior mediated by subjective wellbeing. Altruist behavior can turn up when early childhood education teacher be able to feel subjective well being. Then, subjective well being may influenced by internal locus of control and social support.Thus, the feeling of subjective well-being becomes important for early chidhood education teachers to be able to behave altruistically.
