Abstract

ABSTRACT The objective of this study is to obtain information regarding jigsaw method is able to be utilized to review and describe sub bab of teaching method result of earth's surface and indonesian, and proving that jigsaw method is more effective than regular method. The study is using experimental design by conducting pre and post test. There are experimental class was using jigsaw and the other with reguler method. Samples in this study were all 7th grade students SMPN 1 Kartasura. Study showed there is improvement of knowledge and skill's score in average of the class with jigsaw in compare with reguler one. Average score of the post and skill test of jigsaw class and control group was 80.57 and 69.22 respectively, hence Ho was rejected and Ha accepted. The difference of 2 classes/groups showed jigsaw method was more effective than reguler one (lecturer). Keywords: Effectiveness, Integrated Social Science, Jigsaw Teaching Methods
