Abstract

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is group disease metabolic with characteristics enhancement levels glucose blood (hyperglycemia), deep DM management is known with 4 pillars an administrator, one of them namely diet. Therapy diet be component main success management DM, patient order could run a diet with correct required knowledge. Knowledge is results "know" and this happen after do sensing to something object certain, besides that Support from family is also needed in obedience patient run a diabetes mellitus diet. Research this aim for knowing relationship between knowledge and Support family with obedience Run the diet on people with diabetes mellitus in the region Puskesmas Baki Sukoharjo. Research this is research quantitative with design descriptive correlative with use approach cross sectional. Population amounted to 274 patients, and sample which used 55 respondents, prurposive sampling technique sample. While istrumen on research this use questionnaires, data analysis techniques; Univariate analysis, bivariate analysis, and statistical test used Chi Square. Results research showing knowledge no there is relationship with unity running the right diet diabetes mellitus, with results Chi Square statistical test obtained value  2 = 0.2440 with p = 0.885 (p> 0.05) while for Support family show there is relationship with obedience respondents in running the right diabetes mellitus diet, with results Chi Square statistical test obtained value  2 = 4,534 with p = 0.033 (p <0.05)
