Abstract

This study aims to: (1) describes the short story structure “Pengemis dan Shalawat Badar” by Ahmad Tohari, (2) describes the religious aspect contained in the short story “Pengemis dan Shalawat Badar” by Ahmad Tohari, (3) describes the implementation of research results on learning literature in SMK. The approach used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The data in this research are words, phrases, sentences, and phrases in the short story “Pengemis dan Shalawat Badar” by Ahmad Tohari. Data collection techniques in this study using library techniques. The data used is triangulation theory. The results of this study describes: (1) the structure of the short story builder “Pengemis dan Shalawat Badar” by Ahmad Tohari which includes themes in this short story is religious, then the grooves used in this short story that is the forward flow, the background of the place in this story is in the bus then the background time of this short story occurs during the day, (2) religious aspect in the short story “Pengemis dan Shalawat Badar” by Ahmad Tohari is Salvation, eliminates all hardships, narrows and all that is painful, to fend off those who riot, get Allah's forgiveness, avoid the distress and disaster, (3) the results of this study are relevant to the teaching of literature in SMK, in accordance with the teaching materials of class XI KD 3.1 Understanding the structure and rules of short story text, pantun, re-story, complex explanation, and review / review of film / drama either through oral and written. KD 4.1 Interpret the meaning of short story text, pantun, re-story, complex explanation, and review / revew movie / drama both orally and in writing.
