Abstract

Background: Autistic disorders occur about 5 cases per 10,000 children (0, 05 percent). Re ports on autistic disorders range from 20 cases per 10,000 children. Based on data from Special Schools in Surakarta there is an increasing prevalence in autistic children who initially handle autistic children 3-5 children per day to 10-20 children per day and even more. Objective: This research aims to determine whether there is a correlation between the level of education and socioeconomic with the level of anxiety parents who have children with autism in SLB N 1 Surakarta. Methods: This research use analytic observational design with cross sectional approach. The population in this study are parents who have children with autism in SLB N 1 Surakarta. Sampling technique in this research using total sampling technique. Result: Logistic Regression test data obtained significance of mother education level equal to 0,045, father education level equal to 0,043, and parent income equal to 0,029. Based on these results indicate the relationship of education level and socioeconomic status to anxiety. Conclusions: There is a correlation between the level of education and socioeconomic status to the anxiety of parents whzzo have children with autistic disorders.
