Abstract

The background of this research problem is SMK Negeri 1 Klaten in cooperation with business world and industrial world, has been standardized in short, medium and long term strategic plan (Renstra) by involving teachers, community (parents), government, university, community leaders, and the industrial world of industry. To bridge the inputs that can be used as decision-making materials, related to the competency of SMK Negeri 1 Klaten. The purpose of this study is (1). Describe the characteristics of prakerin in SMK Negeri 1 Klaten, (2). Describing the pattern of the implementation of Prakerin in SMK Negeri 1 Klaten, (3). Describing Prakerin's assessment criteria at SMK Negeri 1 Klaten. This research type is qualitative research with descriptive design. Resource persons in the study were principals, vice principals, prewar pokja heads, secretaries of pretrial groups, treasurers of prakerin pokja, heads of expertise programs, productive teachers and industry leaders. Methods of data are observation, interview and documentation. Data analysis using interactive model. The results of the research are (1) Prakerin planning Prakerin planning scope, timing Activity, number of prakerin participants, qualification Business World / Industrial world, preschool and Prakerin activities. (2) prakerin implementation of the scope of distribution of the number of teachers in accordance with the program of expertise, the number of monitoring teachers, supervising teachers, implementation schedule, planning and monitoring officials. (3) Prakerin assessment to improve the competitiveness of service companies, engineering, engineering, engineering and engineering accounting, multimedi and radio & television production & broadcasting programs
