Abstract

The method that used in this research is descriptive qualitative with syntaxtic study. The data collecting technique is done by two method there are see and note technique. The data analysis method used agih method with advanced technique are BUL (Bagi Unsur Langsung / For Direct Element) technique and change technique. The result of this research are (1) news column in the newspaper there are apposition statement, there are some form apposition statement founded, total 30 datas. Classification by group, consist of four forms, there are (a) form of apposition statement that explaining work (trader, driver, craftsman, owner agent, conductor, employee, and art lover), (b) form of apposition statement that explaining profession (attorney, activist, lawyer, teacher, boxer, artist, student, and author), (c) form of apposition statement that explaining position (manager, assistant, chief, director, and chairman), (d) form of apposition statement that explaining kinship (husband, parent, father, mother, and child). (2) In learning materials, the use of apposition statementis used as an alternative learning material to arrange descriptive responses text on Indonesian language learning in Junior High School class VII to describing the subject.
