Abstract
This study aimed at analyzing language learning principles reflected in Grow with English 5 textbook The objectives are to describe what kinds of task which reflecting behaviorism principles, to desribe what kinds of task which reflecting cognitivism principles, to describe what kinds of task which reflecting humanism principles, to desribe what kinds of task which reflecting contructivisim principles, to find the frequency types of task with reflecting of each kind language learning priniples in “ Grow with English 5 “,to find what is the dominant types of task with reflecting of each kind language learning principles in “ Grow with English 5 “. This is a descriptive qualitative research using naturalistic approach. The sources of data are all the tasks in the Grow with English 5 and documentation . The data were collected read, learnt, and classify. Data validity was reads the book all over, observes the tasks and instructions, categorizes the types, frequency and dominant language learning principles in every tasks. She also adds the pedagogical aspects found and use them as data, The data analysis was carried out through procedure of data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The result showed that there are four language learning principles namely behaviorism,, conitivism, humanism and constructivism reflected in Grow with English 5 textbook. The frequency types of task cognitivism principles is 45,33%, the frequency types of task behaviorism principles is 26, 66%, the frequency types of task humanism principles is 18, 66%, the frequency types of task constructivism is 9,33%. Cognitivism principles is the most domnant language learning principles reflected in Grow with English 5 .
