Abstract
Burnout is a syndrome of exhaustion, both physical, emotional, and mental caused due to excessive work. This exhaustion occurs slowly over longer periods of time in situations that are emotionally filled with demands and unwittingly. One of the factors that can reduce symptoms of burnout are self efficacy. The aims of this research is to know is the relationship between self efficacy with burnout, level of self efficacy, level of burnout, and the effective contribution of self efficacy to the burnout. The participant of this research are 101 nurses at hospital in Surakarta. Technique the sample used in this research was using a technique purposive sampling. This research used quantitative methods with self efficacy scale and burnout scale. Data analysis in this research using product moment correlation from Carl Pearson using SPSS 15 for windows program. By the outcome of data analysis showed the value of correlation -0,544 with sig. (p) 0,000 (p < 0,01) it menas there is a significant negative relation between self efficacy with burnout to the nurses. The mean empirical (ME) of variable self efficacy is 109,34 is included in high category. While the mean empirical (ME) of burnout is 71,97 is included in low category. The effective contribution of self efficacy with burnout is 29,5%
