Abstract

Burnout and job satisfaction is the factors that can have a negative impact on the psychological employees, which ends in a turnover decision. High turnover can take effect in a decrease in productivity. Measuring rate of turnover can be done by measuring the turnover intention. The purpose of this research is to know the correlation between burnout and job satisfaction with turnover intention. The sampling technique of this study is proportionate stratified random sampling with the population of 1.400 female employees and the sample used is 227 female employees. The data collection using burnout scale, job satisfaction scale, and turnover intention. Data is analyzed by using rank spearman because the data is not normal and linear. Analysis techniques use computer program named SPSS 18.00 version. The output of rank spearman analysis, resulted coefficient correlation between burnout and turnover intention is (rx1y)= 0,511 with sig= 0,00 (p<0,01), that mean there is a very significant positive relationship between burnout and turnover intention. The higher the burnout experienced by the employee, the higher the turnover intention employee was, and vice versa. Coefficient correlation value between job satisfaction and turnover intention is (r¬x2y)=-0,425 dengan sig= 0,00 (p<0,01) that mean there is a very significant negative relationship between job satisfaction and turnover intention. The higher the job satisfaction experienced by the employee, getting lower the turnover intention employee was, and vice versa. Strong correlation between burnout variables, job satisfaction and turnover intentions, explained to us that by minimizing sources of burnout and increasing job satisfaction, has consequences on employee decisions to keep working in the company.
