Abstract

High blood pressure prevalence based on Riskesdas (2013) on ≥18 years old showed 25,8%. High blood pressure disorder in Central Java Province is mostly experienced by women with percentage of 29,8%. Prevalence of maternal hypertension was 12% (WHO, 2012) but research for the blood pressure’s mother after uttered, decrease or not are unknown. This study aims to determine relationship of exposure cigarette smoke, duration of sleep time, and long-term breastfeeding with blood pressure of breastfeeding mother who have a hypertension story during pregnancy in Surakarta City. This type of research is quantitative observational with cross sectional design. Total population of this research is 105 people. The sample of this research is breastfeeding mother who has hypertension while pregnant as many as 87 people used by simple random sampling technique. Hypothesis test results used Rank Spearman’s rho Correlation Test. The conclusion is there was no correlation with sleep duration (p value = 0,372), there was no correlation for all exposure cigarette smoke (p value = 0,285) there was no correlation for exposure cigarette smoke in family (p value 0,684), no correlation exposure of cigarette smoke in work place (p value 0,140), no correlation exposure of cigarette smoke in social environment (p value 0,315) and no correlation exposure of cigarette smoke in transportation (p value 0,829). There was a significant relationship of long-term breastfeeding with blood pressure of breastfeeding mother (p value = 0,000) correlation coefficient (r) = -0,449
