Abstract

Competitions that should be owned by a teachers are pedagogical competition, behavioural competition, social competition, and professional competition. One of pedagogical competition component is result evaluation. The purpose of research is to give an depiction about the profile Biological end-semester assessment of Senior High School in Surakarta based perspective HOTS. Which includes HOTS on Taxonomy bloom is analyzes (C4), evaluating (C4) and creates (C6). This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The subject of this research is Biological questions end-semester assessment of Senior High School in Surakarta has compiled by biology teachers in each school. Data collection techniques used documentation. The results of this study indicate that the end-semester assessment which include LOTS is enough (59,9%), and which include HOTS question is low (40,10%). The skill of High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) at about Biological end-semester assessment of Senior High School in Surakarta analyzed only represented by analyzing the cognitive level (C4), ie with a percentage of 40.10%.
