Abstract
The purpose of this study is to explain the underlying factors, perceived impacts, and organizational change processes in the batik industry of Masaran Sragen. Based on the results of the study is expected to provide input or information for entrepreneurs is the importance of organizational changes to maintain or for the company able to survive in following the demands of the times. This study uses in-depth interviews with questions not formally structured and leads to the depth of information by using triangulation. The findings show that organizational change and development is more complex than simply deciding which approaches will be applied to modify structure, process and behavior. The development of science and technology, especially Information Technology, requires organizations to continuously make changes. This organizational change is most often caused by the company's external environment that forces the company to adapt to external conditions. Present changes to an organization include a) conducting assessments, b) establishing identification, c) establishing changes, d) determining strategies, and e) evaluating.
