Abstract
This study aims to analyze and describe mathematical problem solving ability factorization algebra materials based on indicators Gagne. Approach this study used a qualitative approach with case study research. Data collection procedure consist of test, interviews, and documentation. Subjects of this study consisted of 3 subjects who have very good problem solving ability, good, and enough. The results of the analysis showed that mathematical problem solving abilities based on five indicators Gagne, including: (a) presents a problem in a clearer form are in excellent qualifications; (b) expressed in the form of operational problems that are in enough qualification; (c) arrange alternative hypotheses and procedures that are in good qualification; (d) test hypotheses and conduct work procedures for obtaining results that are in good qualification; and (e) checking results that have been obtained are in good qualification. Thus it can be concluded that mathematical problem solving ability factorization algebra materials based on indicators gagne in eight grade Junior High School 2 Gatak Academic Year 2016/2017 are in good qualification.
