Abstract

The objectives of this reseach are to describe factors that cause and school effort on overcome student who are truant of SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Surakarta academic year 2015/2016. Type of this research is qualitative, that implemented of SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Surakarta academic year 2015/2016. Data collecting in this research by interview, observation, dan documentation. Data analysis technique by apply interactive model through data collecting, reduction, presentation, and conclution. Test the validity of data on this research by triangulasi technique and source. Intervieweer or informant in this research are vice principal students, counseling teacher, civis teacher, and students SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Surakarta academic year 2015/2016. The result of the reseach shows that: 1) Factors that cause student truant in SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Surakarta happened because student feel less attention from teacher or parents; student less interested toward certain subjects; influence of friends who like play truant; and not pay obligation (SPP) just in time. 2) school effort on overcome student truant that do by SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Surakarta as: there is effort to improve dicipline; the effort to repair the relation with student; the effort to find out school fasility; and effort to sthrengthen relation between teacher, parents, and society.
