Abstract
ABSTRACT This study aimed to describe the use of multimedia and information technology in the development of Pancasila and Citizenship Education learning in junior high school Gesi District of Sragen in the academic year 2015/2016. The study used a qualitative approach, data collection is done by observation, interview and documentation. Test the validity of the data with the triangulation of sources and techniques or methods of data collection.The data analysis applying interactive models through data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The results of this study indicate that the junior high school teacher in the District Gesi all are utilizing multimedia and information technology in the development of learning Pancasila and Citizenship Education. The form of the use of technology such as laptop and projectors to deliver material to students by displaying materials trought the application of learning material file power point so that a better quality of learning, interesting, not monotonous, and students are very enthusiastic abaut the learning process.Obstacles encountered the use of multimedia and information technology in the development of Pancasila and citizenship education learning is the lack of facilities provided by the school, not installed projectors in every classroom and the human factor is not yet skilled in controlling or running applications in the computer. The solution isdo by the school or teacher education of civics and Citizenship is a workshop or the introduction of a device of learning organized by the school or by the County Government as well as propose aid to the Governments or foundations to complement the technology of learning facilities such as LCD and Projector in each classes as well as meet the needs of the other support in the learning process as well as the consciousness of each teacher about the quality of the delivery of the learning material so that the material better than.
