Abstract

The revitalization of Wilis Stadium in Madiun City is driven by the declining physical condition and functionality of the stadium, as well as the increasing demand for sustainable development. Globally, the implementation of green building principles has become highly critical, as the building sector significantly contributes to energy consumption and carbon emissions. In addition, the stadium area has not been optimally utilized as a public space and a center for community activities. This project aims to transform the stadium into a sport and community hub that accommodates sports, social, and economic activities through a green building approach. The method applied is a descriptive approach, using field observations, interviews, and literature studies, which are then analyzed to formulate the design concept. The results indicate that the revitalization improves the quality of facilities in accordance with standards, reactivates the area as a vibrant public space, and supports local economic growth through the integration of social and commercial functions. The design concept emphasizes the application of green building principles, including energy efficiency, optimization of natural lighting and ventilation, water conservation, and the use of environmentally friendly materials. Furthermore, the sport and community hub concept is realized through the provision of public open spaces, supporting sports facilities, and MSME areas, creating an inclusive, sustainable, and beneficial environment for the community of Madiun City.
