Abstract

Diponegoro GOR Sragen is a Type-B sports facility that serves as a central hub for community athletic activities; however, a lack of maintenance and inadequate amenities for visitors have created an urgent need for a redesign. The redesign of Diponegoro GOR into a is intended to provide alternative spatial configurations and sufficient facilities for both players and spectators, utilizing a Contemporary Architectural Approach that implements modern, sustainable, and technologically advanced features. The primary design challenge involves providing sports facilities that are comfortable, standardized, secure, and modern. Consequently, the objective of this redesign is to offer spatial flexibility, ensure adequate infrastructure, and elevate the facility to a national scale to become a new landmark in Sragen. The data collection for this project was conducted through field surveys, interviews, and literature reviews, followed by comprehensive analysis and conceptual development. The final design is driven by contemporary architectural principles with the hope of transforming sports facilities in Sragen Regency into a more modern and sustainable environment.
