Abstract

Solo Safari is one of the animal educational tourism destinations in Surakarta City that has the potential to develop day and night tourism. The high tourist activity in the area demands accommodation facilities that can support visitor needs while strengthening the identity of the tourism area. The design of the Thematic Hotel in Solo Safari aims to create accommodation facilities integrated with tourism activities through the illumination night approach to form a night space experience. The design method uses a descriptive-qualitative approach through site observation, literature study, precedent study, and analysis of space needs and user activities. The illumination night concept is implemented through the processing of architectural lighting that functions as an aesthetic element, creating atmosphere, visual identity of the area, and supporting night tourism activities. The design results produce a thematic hotel integrated with the Solo Safari area through the processing of zoning, circulation, thematic lighting, and the application of building technology that supports operational efficiency. The building design is designed to create an immersive stay experience and support the Safari Night Adventure activity as the main attraction of the night tourism area.
