Abstract
Quality health services are greatly influenced by the competence of nurses, including their leadership and nursing management skills. Training is one of the important strategies in improving nurses' knowledge so that they are able to deal with the complexity of hospital services. This study aims to analyze the effect of leadership and nursing management training on the level of knowledge of nurses at PKU Sampangan Hospital. This study used a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design. The study population consisted of 60 nurses, with a sample of 34 respondents selected using convenience sampling. The research instrument was a 15-item questionnaire covering aspects of leadership, nursing management, and knowledge levels. The validity test results showed that all questionnaire domains were valid with calculated r values in the leadership domain (0.414), nursing management (0.410), and knowledge level (0.799) greater than the table r (0.388). The reliability test showed that all domains were reliable with Cronbach's alpha values of 0.669, 0.190, and 0.638, respectively. Data analysis was performed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The results showed an increase in the proportion of knowledge from 44.1% before training to 82.4% after training. The average knowledge score increased from 73.97 to 89.56 with a difference of 15.59 points (21%) and a p-value of 0.000. The conclusion of this study indicates that.
