Islamic Education (PAI) Program, Faculty of Islamic Studies, Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta, 2024. Sultan Muhammad al-Fatih is a prominent figure in Islamic history, renowned as the conqueror of Constantinople in 1453. Beyond his remarkable military leadership, Sultan Muhammad al-Fatih also possessed profound views on education, which significantly contributed to his success as a leader. The book "Muhammad al-Fatih 1453" by Felix Siauw provides a detailed account of the education Sultan received from a young age, encompassing religious studies, general knowledge, and military arts, all of which shaped his character and intellect. This research aims to analyze the educational philosophy of Sultan Muhammad al-Fatih as depicted in the book and explore its relevance to modern education. Employing a qualitative research method with a literature review approach, the study uses "Muhammad al-Fatih 1453" as the primary source, supplemented by secondary literature related to Islamic education and the history of education. The findings reveal that Sultan Muhammad al-Fatih’s educational thought is holistic, integrating religious education, general sciences, and military training. This comprehensive approach remains relevant in modern education, emphasizing the development of morally upright and intellectually capable individuals with a broad perspective.
