Abstract
The Qur’an is a guide to life for Muslims. Muslims must be able to read the Qur’an correctly according to the rules. Therefore, it is necessary to learn the Qur’an. This learning process is known as tahsin of the Qur’an learning. The process of tahsin of the Qur’an learning requires a method. Methods for tahsin of the Qur’an learning in Indonesia have developed and very diverse. One of these methods is Ummi method. This research aims to describe the implementation of the Ummi method, its advantages, and disadvantages in tahsin of the Qur’an learning at the Rumah Qur’an Al-Huda Klaten in 2023. This type of research is field research with a phenomenological approach. The research subjects were the leaders, teachers, and stundents of Rumah Qur’an Al-Huda Klaten. Data collection techniques in this study used observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out using an interactive method which has three components, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The data validity technique in this study uses triangulation techniques which are divided into two types, namely source triangulation and technical triangulation. The result of this research is: 1) The implementation of the Ummi method in tahsin of the Qur’an learning at the Rumah Qur’an Al-Huda Klaten pays attention to 3 things that must be have quality, namely input, process, and output. Input means quality students and teachers, process means quality teaching and management, and output means quality graduate profiles. 2) The advantages of Ummi method in tahsin of the Qur’an learning at the Rumah Qur’an Al-Huda Klaten is a system that prioritizes quality and strenght of commitment. 3) The weakness of Ummi method in tahsin of the Qur’an learning at the Rumah Qur’an Al-Huda Klaten is not well known among the people and the teachers are limited.
