Abstract
Pencak silat is a cultural art of sports that lies in self-defense that is preserved from generation to generation as a cultural heritage from previous ancestors that have been passed down to the present. One of them is Pencak Silat Persaudaraan Setia Hati Terate, but PSHT gets a negative stigma from society because it is identical to violent acts. Therefore, this study aims to determine the values of love for peace and tolerance in the Pencak Silat Setia Hati Organization in Kebonromo Ngrampal Village, Sragen as well as the obstacles and solutions to overcome them. This study uses a qualitative method with an ethnographic design. This research was conducted for 6 months from October 2023 to March 2024 by observing and directly observing PSHT in Kebonromo Ngrampal Village, Sragen. Data collection techniques were by means of interviews, observation, and documentation, while the data analysis technique was after data collection, data reduction and data presentation were carried out, after which conclusions were drawn. The results of the study show that the PSHT Organization implements good citizenship in terms of how each member carries out their duties as a community organization based on love for peace and tolerance properly and correctly and follows the norms that apply in society and does not violate regulations and carries out their obligations as Indonesian citizens. The obstacles faced with the stigma of society that gives a bad assessment are overcome through solutions, namely providing positive activities related to the community, such as holding blood donations, disaster mitigation, establishing homecoming posts, and so on. This will improve the image by behaving well and politely.
