Abstract
A student ideally has high intellectual skills because students are agents of change in the future who are expected to be the best generation. However, this condition is difficult to fulfill because students face many academic demands and high expectations from people around them, causing academic stress. Academic stress is the stress that students experience as a result of the demands placed on them academically at school. These demands include academic pressures (academic stressors) such as frustrations, conflict, pressure, change, and self-imposed, as well as students' responses (responses) to this stress through their behavior, emotions, physical reactions, and cognitive assessments. The purpose of this study was to determine whether learning motivation and social support are related to students' academic stress. A total of 33 orphaned students became respondents using saturated sampling technique. This quantitative research uses a correlational approach method. The analysis used was multiple linear regression. The results confirmed that the major hypothesis was accepted, as evidenced by the relationship between learning motivation and social support with academic stress, because the Sig value was obtained <0.05. While the minor hypothesis, has a Sig value <0.05 so it can be concluded that there is a relationship between learning motivation and academic stress, and there is a relationship between social support and academic stress.
