Abstract
Street children are a problem that is often found in big cities in Indonesia. Street children are a vulnerable group that requires special attention and greater efforts from the government and society. Street children often experience various problems such as poverty, violence, discrimination, and health. Street children make the street a place to fulfill their daily needs to survive by doing work on the street such as hawking, busking, and others. Factors that are often encountered are poverty or family economic factors. The problem of street children starts with poor family conditions so they have to help the family and choose not to go to school. This reason makes street children not have the opportunity to get an education. Street children also have the right to get a shelter and proper education, which is in accordance with human rights and the Convention on the Rights of the Child. The purpose of this problem is to design the concept of Rumah Singgah "Griya Siwi" that can provide non-formal education for street children in Surakarta and apply a behavioral architecture approach in designing Rumah Singgah "Griya Siwi" in accordance with the needs, preferences, and characteristics of street children in Surakarta.
