Abstract

Independent music, often referred to as indie music, is a type of music produced and distributed independently by musicians or through independent record labels. Indie musicians are those who create music without being influenced by major labels or market trends. From 2018 to the present, various music genres have enlivened the music industry in Solo. The analogy is like having a variety of food menu options. The goal is to provide a platform for indie musicians and other artists to thrive, to serve as a music training center for individuals, to establish a meeting place for arts across various societal layers, and to drive the advancement of the music industry in Solo. Data collection methods include direct observation, surveys, case study analysis, comparison with similar projects, and literature review. The building should provide a creative space for band members to collaborate and inspire new music, including a lounge area for discussion and ideation. The selected land from the outlined criteria is alternative site 2 with an area of 2.5 hectares. The hall building design for solo indie musicians integrates various architectural and functional elements designed to create an optimal musical experience, both for musicians and audiences. The design of the performance space focuses on superior acoustics with sound isolation and interior layout that maximizes audio quality. The flexible stage is equipped with high-quality lighting and audio systems to support various types of performances. Audience comfort is prioritized through ergonomic seating arrangements and good visibility, as well as supporting facilities such as green space for musicians and adequate toilets.
