Abstract

Education is the foundation of the state in creating a progressive society. Public awareness of the importance of education will determine the welfare of life in the future. One of the benchmarks for the success of educational institutions is student learning achievement. Among several factors that can improve learning achievement are Al-Quran memorization and learning motivation. This research aims to determine the effect of memorizing the Qur'an on learning achievement, the influence of learning motivation on learning achievement and the influence of memorizing the Qur'an and learning motivation together on the learning achievement of students at the Ar Risalah Kartasura Integrated Islamic Primary School. This research was conducted using an ex-post facto approach and is quantitative in nature. The population used in this research was 94 students. The sample was 44 students taken using stratified proportional random sampling. Data collection uses questionnaire, observation and documentation methods. The questionnaire method was used to obtain data on learning motivation variables which were then tested for validity and reliability. The documentation method is used to collect data on memorizing the Qur'an and student learning achievement. Test the validity of the instrument using simple linear regression and reliability test with Cronbach alpha. The data analysis technique used is simple regression with 1 predictor and multiple regression with 2 predictors at a level of 0.05. The results of the research show that, (1) There is a positive and significant influence of memorizing the Qur'an on students' learning achievement. This is shown by the correlation coefficient 〖(r〗_x1y) of 0.519 with an effective contribution of 27.8%; (2) There is a positive but not significant influence of Learning Motivation on Student Learning Achievement. This is indicated by the correlation coefficient 〖(r〗_x1y) of 0.121 with an effective contribution of 2.1%; (3) there is a positive and significant influence between memorizing the Qur'an, learning motivation together on student learning achievement at SDIT Ar Risalah Kartasura. This is indicated by the results of the correlation coefficient R of 0.547 and an effective contribution of 29.9% Keywords: Memorizing the Qur'an, Learning Motivation, Student Learning Achievement
