Abstract

Indonesia prides itself on its rich and varied cultural diversity, which is the characteristic and identity of the nation. Many visitors from both within and outside the country are interested in visiting Indonesia to experience its rich culture. To maintain and maintain the continuity of culture, continuous efforts are needed. One of these efforts is to provide a place or forum that supports the development and preservation of culture. An example of an effort to preserve culture is the omah kendeng in Sukolilo Pati Village, which, although not as numerous or as busy as before, is still active, being part of efforts to preserve culture in Pati Regency, such as ketoprak performances, gamelan, dances and so on. Omah Kendeng itself is now unkempt with lots of wild plants and inadequate facilities. This problem will be raised and Omah Kendang will be developed into a cultural center. With the development of omah kendang, cultural activists can carry out cultural activities with adequate facilities. Keywords: development, cultural center, preservation, omah kendeng, culture
