Abstract

Instilling religious values is very necessary so that foster children have a religious spirit. The formation of religious character cannot be separated from the role of a caregiver in it. This research aims to find out and describe the role of caregivers in forming the religious character of foster children at the Putri Aisyiyah II Kadipiro Orphanage and to describe the religious character of foster children formed at the Putri Aisyiyah II Kadipiro Orphanage. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research using data collection techniques, namely observation, interviews and documentation. The collected data is analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions and verification. The object of the research is the role of caregivers in forming the religious character of foster children at the Putri Aisyiyah II Kadipiro Orphanage. Based on the results of research conducted by researchers, it can be concluded that orphanage caregivers have played a role in shaping the religious character of foster children in the orphanage at the Putri Aisyiyah II Kadipiro Orphanage, namely caregivers by carrying out their roles as educators, mentors, coaches, motivators, Role models will help in the formation of religious character. Religious character is formed through various strategies and implementation of religious values, namely the value of worship, the value of jihad (ruhul jiihad), the value of trust and sincerity, the value of morals and discipline, the value of example.
