Abstract
This research aims to describe the implementation of a humanistic approach as a strengthening of the profile of Pancasila students on the dimension of believing and fearing the One God as well as the noble morality in the 3rd and 6th Muhammadiyah Schools of Gemolong. Previous research focused more on strategies to cultivate the concept of humanistic education that can make a positive contribution to student development by paying attention to individual, emotional, and social aspects of learning in strengthening the profile of students in learning. In an era of globalization, students are exposed to various cultural and technological influences which can have a negative impact on moral and religious values. This research is important to conduct to describe a strong foundation to face the challenges of the times without losing the identity and values of Pancasila. This research is qualitative descriptive research. Data is collected through observations, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects included the head of school, teachers, and eleventh-grade pupils at the 3rd and 6th Muhammadiyah Gemolong Schools. The approach used is a psychological and phenomenological approach, which aims to dig into human potential and understand the social phenomena that occur. Research results show that both schools have implemented a humanistic approach in education that emphasizes the development of individual potential to the maximum. Muhammadiyah 3 focuses more on religious activities with an emphasis on Islamic discipline and values, while Muhammadiyah 6 offers a more diverse and organized program, reflecting a holistic humanistic approach. This implementation is not only a means of delivering information but also a facilitator that inspires students to continue learning and practicing the values of Pancasila. Activities such as joint prayer, muraja’ah short letters, and duha prayers help form good habits and discipline in students.
