Abstract
This research is motivated by the decline in students' cognitive abilities during the learning process which is characterized by students not being able to classify the laws of recitation contained in the verses of the Qur'an and students' cognitive abilities being uneven. Apart from that, from the perspective of teachers who teach Al-Qur'an subjects An Hadith has not utilized ICT (Information Communication and Technology) media consistently in its learning process. This research aims to describe efforts to improve students' cognitive abilities in learning Al-Qur'an Hadith with ICT media (Information Communication and Technology), and To analyze the supporting and inhibiting factors in improving students' cognitive abilities in learning Al-Qur'an Hadith using ICT (Information Communication and Technology) media at SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Surakarta for the 2023/2024 academic year. The approach to this research is approach phenomenological with this type of qualitative research. The form of this research is classroom action research (PTK) using a cycle model, each cycle consisting of planning, action implementation, observation and reflection. The research subjects were 25 students in class VII of the ICT Program at SMP Muhammdiyah 1 Surakarta. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews, tests, documentation and class actions (PTK). Data analysis techniques use an interactive analysis model which has three components, namely reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions, and comparative techniques. Based on the results of classroom action research in cycle I, the pre-test was 46.00% and the post-test was 57.00%. This shows that there is an increase, although not significant, namely around 11.00%. Students' cognitive improvement did not increase significantly due to the media used (Wordwall) is too complicated for class VII and students are not yet at the cognitive level (C3) such as completing missing things. After taking corrective action, by changing the wordwall media to Goggle Form and focusing on increasing the cognitive level (C4-C6), the Pre-test in Cycle II showed that the students' average score was around 50.42%. while the post-test found an average value of 92.61%. in the second cycle there was a significant increase after carrying out corrective actions, namely 42.19%. It can be concluded that learning Al-Qur'an Hadith with ICT media (Information Communication and Technology) is actually able to increase students' cognitive abilities by 31.19%. The supporting factors for increasing students' cognitive abilities in learning Al-Qur'an Hadith with ICT (Information Communication and Technology) media are: Adequate ICT media supporting tools, the existence of school activities related to the ability to read and write the Al-Qur'an outside of hours. lessons, students are able to access Al-Qur'an Hadith materials via the internet, YouTube and social media. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors are: It takes a lot of time to prepare ICT media, such as making attractive PPTs, setting up website-based learning applications such as goggle forms and word walls, and inappropriate media selection and teachers not knowing the characteristics of the ICT media used.
