Abstract

Supervision is a supervisory activity with the main focus on assessing the implementation of scientific rules in the form of concepts and theories that underlie professional work. Supervision is carried out in the professional relationship between the supervisor and the people who carry out the professional work, in the administration of the school the professional relationship is intended for example between the supervisor and the teacher. Supervision has the essence of encouraging professional compliance, namely the implementation of work based on concepts, theories, and reflections on correct practice. In this study, qualitative research methods were used to determine how to search, collect, process and analyze the data from the study. This qualitative research can be used to understand social interactions, for example with in-depth interviews so that clear patterns will be found. Informants from MI Muhammadiyah Special Program Kenteng, Boyolali consisted of three teachers and one principal as experts in the source triangulation method. While data analysis techniques use interactive methods. The results showed, among others, that: 1) Planning, implementation, evaluation and follow-up academic supervision carried out by the principal have been carried out in accordance with the provisions of the education office and the Ministry of Religion specifically for madrasahs in Boyolali district. 2) Special findings of the results of academic supervision at MI Muhammadiyah Kenteng Special Program, Boyolali district in the implementation of academic supervision are more focused on the implementation of improving learning in religious education which is included in the assessment of teacher academic supervision. 3) The results of evaluation and follow-up from several selected informants confirm that there has been an improvement in the quality of learning, especially in learning according to their respective teacher fields.
