Abstract

The purpose of this study are, (1) test the indirect contribution of learning motivation and numerical ability to mathematical learning outcomes through problem-solving skills and their analysis, (2) test the contributions of learning motivation and numeric abilities to problem- solving skills as well as their analysis and (3) test the contribution to the mathematics learning outcome and its analysis. Types of research based on quantitative approaches. Study population 163 students of grade VIII MTs State 2 Klaten. The study sample of 116 students was determined by the Slovene formula. Sampling technique using propositional random sampling. Data-gathering techniques such as loading, testing, and documentation. Instruments for raising student learning motivation data, tests for collecting data on student numerical skills and problem-solving skills, and documentation to collect data on students' mathematical learning outcomes taken from the UAS score of the strange semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. Data analysis techniques using track analysis. The results of the study were that (1) the student's learning motivation and numerical abilities of students with a significance of 0.05 contributed simultaneously to the mathematical learning outcome through problem solving capacity of 33.5%, (2) the students' learning motivations and numeric abilities with a significantity of 0.05% contributed at the same time to the ability to solve problems of 7.2%, (3) the problem-solving ability with a meaning of 0.0% contributed positively to the learning output of mathematics.
