Abstract

Labor issues are currently still a major concern by the government, especially in developing countries, namely Indonesia. At first, regulations were created in the form of Law Number 13 of 2003 concerning manpower, which then changed but not substantively to Law Number 6 of 2023 concerning the Stipulation of Government Regulations in Lieu of Law Number 2 of 2022 concerning Job Creation into Law (hereinafter referred to as Law Number 6 of 2023 concerning Job Creation). The purpose of this research is to find out the regulations related to a specific time work agreement (PKWT) and find out about legal protection for workers with a specific time agreement. The research method in this research is a normative juridical approach which is selected is the research of primary and secondary legal materials. In this writing the approach method used is doctrinal (normative) approach. The method used in this research is library research, which is done by collecting data and information on legal materials that are related to the research topic. Worked through understanding, analyzing and drawing the appropriate core in accordance with the problems in this study. The condition of employment in Indonesia has a regulation stipulated in Law Number 13 of 2003 concerning Manpower. After the enactment of Law Number 6 of 2023, there are a number of changes in its provisions, both in terms of labor protection, ease of doing business, and work agreements made in order to fulfill an agreement. comparison with other countries, precisely in Singapore. The regulation of the Specified Time Work Agreement (PKWT) in Islam has not regulated the needs of workers and companies in fulfilling their rights, then PKWT in the constitution has not regulated the guarantee of legal protection of workers, while in comparison between countries, PKWT in Indonesia still does not clearly emphasize the extension of work contracts in providing legal certainty for workers.
