Abstract
One of the government's efforts to improve the health status of the elderly is by planning the establishment of an elderly posyandu. The elderly's lack of activity in utilizing health services at the elderly posyandu requires family support in encouraging the elderly's interest or willingness to take part in posyandu activities. The research carried out was quantitative research using cross sectional data collection. Samples were taken using simple random sampling technique as many as 86 respondents. This research instrument uses a family support questionnaire sheet to determine the level of family support, as well as a recapitulation sheet on the elderly's activeness in attending posyandu. Data analysis using the chi square test obtained a significance value of 0.000. Based on this value, the p value is <0.05. Judging from the Pearson Chi-Square, a value of 55,263 is obtained, which means that the level of strength of the relationship (correlation) between family support and elderly activity in attending Posyandu for the elderly is very strong. In the Pearson Chi-Square, the results above have a positive value, namely 55,263, so the relationship between the two variables is nidirectional The research results of good family support will cause elderly people to be more active in participating in elderly posyandu activities. So it is hoped that the elderly will always receive family support so that the elderly can maintain their health by actively attending the elderly posyandu.
