Abstract

This research aims to investigate the influence of transformational leadership and organizational commitment on employee performance, with Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) as an intervening variable. Transformational leadership is identified as a factor that can inspire, motivate, and shape a shared vision, while organizational commitment signifies the level of involvement, identification, and loyalty of individuals to the organization where they work. This study also highlights the role of OCB as voluntary behaviors that exceed formal job duties, which can link the influence of transformational leadership and organizational commitment to employee performance. The research method employed is a survey using questionnaires distributed to 107 employees of the Karanganyar Primary Tax Service Office, utilizing Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis. The results of data analysis indicate a positive relationship between transformational leadership and organizational commitment with employee performance. Furthermore, OCB is found to be a variable that mediates the relationship between transformational leadership and organizational commitment with employee performance. The practical implications of these findings underscore the importance of developing inspirational leadership and organizational commitment in creating a productive and high-performance work environment. This research makes a significant contribution to our understanding of the dynamic relationships among key factors in human resource management and organizational performance. These findings can serve as a basis for developing more effective management strategies to enhance employee performance and achieve organizational goals holistically.
