Abstract

As technology develops around us, so does technology in literary works. The development of this technology can be felt on several pages or social media, as literary works can be produced, distributed and consumed by readers in a short time. Poetry is the easiest and most meaningful literary work, therefore, along with the development of technology, many things have been discovered that have poetic elements, both in audio and audiovisual. This research applies descriptive qualitative research methods. The data in this research comes from facts in the field which will be used as material for compiling this research. The data contained in this research is the meaning produced in poetry collections on the Indonesian Poetry Day Facebook social media group. This research uses data collection techniques, namely the follow-up listening method with note-taking techniques. The data analysis technique in this research uses the semantic theory method based on the view that literary works are works of art which are a system of signs that are completely and completely intertwined. Semiotics is the science of signs or the study of systems, rules and conventions that make it possible to give meaning to these signs. The results of research on the meaning of poetry in the Indonesian Poetry Day Facebook group can be implemented in learning to write poetry. Through the Facebook social media group page, you can only find the complete form of the poem typographically, so this research focuses on the poetry contained on the page, both the language and typography of the poem. The steps for reading poetry in a focused manner are carried out in order to get the true meaning and need to pay attention to aspects of language and its meaning, that a word in a poem can be interpreted far from the original meaning or dictionary meaning of the word, in Riffaterre's semiotic terms it is called indirect expression, through stages This meaning can be produced from the signs in the poems. This is a basic semiotic study that Rifattere uses to study poetry. Poetry reading is done repeatedly to understand the poetry well and objectively, through heuristic and hermeneutic reading the linguistic meaning and meaning contained can be found. This means that reading by understanding the language is finding meaning in poetry, both the meaning of words and sentences in terms of dictionary meaning according to the language used. The results of the validity of the teaching materials are used to write poetry that emphasizes content validity and construct validity.
