Abstract

Lokananta Records is a state-owned music recording company located in Surakarta, Central Java. While it used to produce and distribute broadcast material for Radio Republik Indonesia, Lokananta's role is now limited to archiving vinyl records. Therefore, considering the potential and needs of Surakarta City, there is a need for an effort to conserve and repurpose this old building, transforming it into a Mixed Use Creative Center that accommodates the music industry in Surakarta. It is hoped that this Mixed Use Creative Center will not only serve as a physical space for people to gather but also as a place to develop and drive the music industry in Surakarta. Additionally, it can create a trickling effect, contributing to the growth of other industries due to the presence of specific businesses in the surrounding area.
