Abstract

The purpose of this study was to see the impact and effectiveness of using the mind mapping method in increasing children's sexual knowledge. This type of quantitative research with quasi-experiment design. VIII grade students of MTs SA PP Al Falah in the 2023/2024 academic year will be the population in the study. The random sampling method was used as sampling in the study. The sample was grouped into two, namely the experimental group and the control group. Each group consists of 10 male students and 10 female students. The measuring instrument for children's sexual knowledge instrument consists of objective test questions with correct or incorrect answer choices. Test statistics to analyze the data used Independent sample t-test. Before the research hypothesis was analyzed, a normality test was conducted with Shapiro Wilk, and a homogeneity test was conducted with the Levene test. The research obtained the results that from the significance level α = 5%, there was an effect of using the mind mapping method in increasing children's sexual knowledge. The mind mapping method is effective to increase children's sexual knowledge than the conventional method.
